In a whirlwind of passion for mixology and a penchant for crafting exceptional experiences, Brian Freed, co-owner of Warren, traces back over two decades to where it all began. Brian and his partners, Jeff John, Jarred John, and Scott Dietz have pursued a number of restaurant and entertainment venues, with Warren being the latest pursuit.
It all started with a concert and entertainment venue, and it progressed from there.
About 12 years ago, the cocktail movement was really starting to take off in Miami. As Freed and his partners developed dining concepts on the east coast of Florida, they delved into whiskey, forming relationships with notable brands and delving into barrel picks, seeking those hidden gems that defy the norm.
What started as a passion project soon evolved into a movement. They wanted to change the game, shifting the focus from the typical drinks to offering something better—a niche for those seeking an elevated spirit experience.
Their endeavor didn't stop at creating exceptional drinks; it extended to fostering a community around a shared love for whiskey. Ten years ago, they initiated the Whiskey Society in Fort Lauderdale, drawing in over 3000 members.
Their whiskey journey continued, driven by the desire to diversify their offerings. Their pursuits encountered a new opportunity to open another concept, a natural next progression into South Florida's restaurant scene. Warren American Whiskey Kitchen opened Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 in Naples, Florida.
The team's commitment transcends serving top-notch spirits and cuisine; it's deeply rooted in giving back. Freed and has partners have been heavily involved in charitable endeavors, partnering with various organizations to raise funds and make a meaningful impact.

There is also a strong emphasis on sourcing the finest ingredients for their food, with notable dishes such as cauliflower KFC, Wagyu steaks, smoked prime short rib, and lobster mac and cheese being popular amongst diners.
However, for Freed, it's not just about the spirits or the culinary finesse; it's about fostering a sense of belonging. He explains that investing in their staff and ensuring every visitor feels like family is pivotal. It's about creating an experience that goes beyond the typical offerings.
