With the creative superpowers at Stofft Cooney Architects and interior designer Linda Sonders on board, Mike Assaad at Waterside Builders felt he hit the jackpot. Together, they were building a new home with 180 feet of lakefront on Swan Lake (one of only two lakes in Park Shore). “This project went well because the plans evolved with everyone’s input along the way,” said Mike Assaad. “We all thought about how the home will feel and talked about how to achieve these goals with livability.”
The 4,749 square-foot home was impeccably designed by Stofft Cooney specifically for the site, with four bedroom suites, all with lake views. Three living areas, also with lake views and a custom kitchen with Wolf/SubZero appliances and an enormous outdoor living and patio added to the livability of the home. The lot is special too - a rear pie-shaped lot (so you don't see either next-door neighbor), on a private cul-de-sac with no through traffic.
Thoughtful design touches to maximize the water view were carefully built by Waterside, including placing the bathtub in the modern master suite to allow a soak with a lake view. Smart additions to the home include full home automation, tankless water heaters, storm screens, and shutters.
Outside, Mike credits the architect again. “We really liked the colors and textures on the elevations. It is a great combination of tabby stucco, metals, woods, which is different from much of what we do. We also did some interior ceiling elements which we found very creative and unusual.
“Stofft Cooney is very creative when it comes to the plans and elevations. Linda Sonders did the interior design work and was equally instrumental in the project execution,” says Mike. “It was a very successful partnership.”

Waterside has been building in the Naples area for xx years and values employees and teamwork. Everyone plays a key role. “Cristy Morris has been with us for 20 years and manages our office,” says Mike honoring the important role she plays every day.
