Waterside Builders, Inc., a luxury custom home builder in Naples, Florida, has teamed up with local youth sport organizations to provide support for after-school and extracurricular programs.
The Naples Girls Softball Team, is an all-volunteer non-profit organization with home fields in Cambier Park, located in downtown Naples, and Veteran Park, located in North Naples. As a sponsor of the all-ladies team, Waterside Builders is able to help the league grow and become successful. Giving back to the young athletes of the Collier County is aligned with Waterside Builders’ vision to build a stronger community.

"We love to watch this sport continue to grow and watch the young ladies of Collier County stay active and involved with local youth leagues such as Naples Girls Softball," she says. "Sponsors such as Waterside Builders help relieve some of the financial burdens our league and parents accrue each season. Their financial support allows the league to distribute those funds to help purchase new equipment, uniforms for the players and help towards field repair that we address throughout the year."
“We will continue to support local philanthropies in many areas, but youth programs are near and dear to me,” says Mike Assaad, owner and president of Waterside Builders. “As a father of two young active children, and as many parents would probably agree, now more than ever getting outside away from screen time and technology is good for our kids’ mental health.”
This spring season, Waterside Builders also committed to platinum sponsorship of the Naples High School Golden Eagle Track and Field team. The team, consisting of more than 40 young men and women athletes, competes in more than ten local meets, with qualifying runners vying for titles in regional and state track meets. As a consecutive platinum sponsor for the Naples High School Track & Field team, Waterside Builders has provided monetary support year after year to the team and is committed to bolstering the local public high school program. Assaad is a graduate of Naples High School and competed on several sports teams during his time at the local school. “I grew up in Naples, spending much of my youth playing soccer, football, and tennis. Without the support of and generosity of patrons, I would not have had access to those activities that taught me dedication, teamwork, and perseverance,” states Assaad. “I am grateful to have my formidable years spent being coached by great leaders and am happy that Waterside Builders can continue the tradition of supporting youth sports in Collier County.”
