Ready to be Pampered

A continuation of exceptional services and a new level of personal care for their clients and staff

Salons and Spas across the Treasure Valley have been busier than ever, as clients have begun booking their post-quarantine spa and salon visits for the first time in months. For years people have said, “beauty is pain” but anyone who experienced sheltering at home would argue “no beauty is pain.”

As we all happily focus on getting back on track with our beauty routines, we find one important commonality with all salons in the Treasure Valley; a continuation of their exceptional services and owners emphasizing a new level of personal care for their clients and staff. Each of the salons we’ve highlighted below has created health safety protocols which you can find on their websites and during their easy booking process.

RAIN SALON AND SPA

Locally owned, Rain Salon and Spa has worked to give back to our community, offers top-notch services to their clients and provides a living wage to their staff. Established in 2008 by Stuart and Mechele Duke, Rain Salon and Spa was a dream come true to Mechele who hoped to own a salon since the beginning of her journey as a stylist. The salon became an Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa in 2012, which is the highest level of salon in the Aveda network. They also made the Top 200 Salon from Salon Today. One of Rain’s client favorite treatment is HydraFacial, a patented vortex fusion technology pushes product deep into the skin for maximum efficacy, while simultaneously pulling unwanted debris from pores. The treatment leaves the skin smooth, plump, and radiant. Rainsalonandspa.org | (208) 887-7955

GRAEBER AND COMPANY

Located in the middle of Downtown Boise at 350 N 9th st. #103, Graeber and Company has been serving the Treasure Valley nonstop for over 50 years. The locally owned and operated Aveda Lifestyle salon and spa has a team of 30 professionals who are Aveda certified. The Aveda company creates botanically based beauty products for hair and skin and partners with hundreds of salons and spas to exclusively sell and use Aveda products. Graeber and Company cites its partnership with Aveda as a way to ensure they will continue to advance education in technical skill, product knowledge and award-winning commitment to the environment. Since reopening, Graeber and Company are asking that guests to abide by their safety protocols. Things that haven’t changed at the salon: great service and a caring staff all mastering the art of a “smize” ( a smile with the eyes while masked). One of the most popular recommendations to treat oneself is to start with a massage, then head for a facial and finish with a pedicure. During the quarantine, co-owner, Shelby Bills invited her team to attend online team bonding meetings. Although the meetings were optional, Shelby said they had 99% participation. “The meetings were intentionally designed to connect us on a deeper level and even more than what we can experience on a normal workday,” she said. graeberandcompany.com | (208) 343-4915
