Fogo de Chao, and Masa y Mas are now open

An outpost of Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao opened downtown and on South Lamar, Chuck Smith and Larry Perdido, founders of Moonshine & Kinfolk and two of four founders of Hopdoddy Burger Bar opened Masa y Mas, a taqueria serving familial and regional Central Mexican recipes from Chef Roberto Campos.

The new restaurant features outdoor seating overlooking an expansive dining room centered around an open-air grill where guests can watch gaucho chefs demonstrate the culinary art of churrasco.
 

Masa y Mas’s Mural Inspo

Chef Campos(who’s also an operating partner) started cooking at age eight while supporting his family's food carts in Guanajuato, Mexico. The mural on the side of the restaurant is Chef's biggest inspiration - his mom.

Masa y Mas is a counter-service and has tacos, tortas, papas rellenas, bowls and more from Chef Campos family recipes.
