Western Comfort - Food and Atmosphere

Food for the Fall

I have lived in the valley for 5 plus years now, and I had yet to dine at the Strayhorn Grill. I didn't know what I was missing.

On first sight, the western decor was welcoming and I noticed that the restaurant was very clean. The staff was attentive and polite, and the appropriately loud 90’s to early 2000’s country music matched the western decor of the restaurant.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and fried Okra. It came drizzled in a fantastic white gravy that I was not surprised to learn was made in-house. The mashed potatoes are also cut, mashed, and seasoned in-house.

Dessert was apple pie a-la-mode. I haven’t had pie that good in a long time.

Don’t take my word for it. Go enjoy it for yourself!
