As the leaves turn and fall and winter quickly approaches, it’s a good time to reflect on what we are thankful for. 2022 has been yet another year of transitions as we move into a world beyond facemasks and restrictions. Beyond that though, taking stock of one’s year and the blessings we have is a time-honored tradition. So in that spirit, the Edina Lifestyle Team asked members of the Edina Community what they are most thankful for, and here is what they had to say.
Statera – Dr. Jaron Faber
"It has been an absolute privilege serving the people of Edina and the surrounding cities. Since opening Statera Health early in the pandemic, We’ve been happy to call this place home. Though the metro has been under significant stress in the last couple years, I’m thankful to be a part of a thriving Edina community. Thank you to all who have supported us as we continue to grow and help more patients.”
Bojae's Wine Bar & Bistro
Lyndsey Johnson - Owner
Gratitude - Gratefulness is my One Word for 2022. I pick one at the beginning of every year to help ground me in my intentions. This past year it has been a word that I have used almost every day. I purchased the wine bar on 50th and France in Edina (Bojae's) at the end of 2021 thru the encouragement of my Father. I am so grateful for his never faulting belief in my dreams. Re opening this bar would have never come to fruition had it not been for the numerous people who lifted me up every time I started to doubt myself and mentored me along the way. My husband, Louis who had never ending patience to support me every time I was overwhelmed to tears and who is now my best customer. I am grateful to my friend, Suzanne Haugland, local business owner, who mentored me thru the art of negotiation and design, even after she counseled me to not do it. I am grateful for my friend, Stephanie Morris, local artist, for her beautiful photography talent that hangs on the walls at Bojae's. I am grateful for April Diekman, Bojae’s Manager, who has worked at the wine bar thru 2 other owners, and teaches me about the community and our customers every day. I am forever grateful for the numerous businesses, friends and family (too many to name) that cheered me on, supported and taught me so much. As they say...." it takes a village” and I for one, have the best village!

Jeff Wessels – Crown Bank
I’m thankful for our Crown Bank team and for the hard work, diligence, and passion they bring to our customers. Without our team, we would not have experienced the growth we have over the past three years. They have a can-do attitude and always provide creative solutions to help us make the possible, possible for our clients. In addition, I am thankful for an ownership team in Tom and John Healey that has offered support and allowed us to grow. And of course, I am most thankful for my wife Deb and our children who continue to support me every day.
