When it comes to cozy, character-filled interiors with a modern twist, Sarah Nicole Redesign knows how to make a house feel like home. We sat down with owner Sarah Schumacher to talk all things Fall 2025—from timeless textures to bold, personal touches.
What design trends are you most excited about?
We love a good trend—it gives us freedom to dive a little deeper into our creativity. But we always take it back to what pulls at our clients’ heartstrings. Our clients’ happiness is what defines “trend” in our eyes.
A few features we’ve been excited to start incorporating:
- Polished Nickel
A sophisticated finish that blends warm and cool tones seamlessly. It adds a touch of elegance to any space. - Accent Lighting
Think sconces and art lights—these pieces not only elevate the mood, but also spotlight favorite artwork or architectural features. - Warmth Through Materials
We’re seeing a return of warm woods, leathers, and earth tones like blues, greens, and teals. It’s not about replacing gray, but layering in natural textures and cozy tones that ground a space. - Redesign
Yes, redesign is trending in 2025—and it’s always been at the heart of what we do.
Explain what makes redesign different.
Redesign is all about incorporating personal style and cherished items into a space. It might be a vintage find, a family heirloom, or just something that makes you happy. That’s what makes a space feel authentically you. These meaningful pieces bring story and soul into a room, making it feel truly lived-in and loved.
So, where do we start?
Schedule a consultation! We offer in-home consultations where we can talk through projects or brainstorm ideas. It might be furniture layout, paint colors, light fixtures, or window treatments.
We also do something we call “shop the house.” We look for opportunities to update a space by rethinking items clients already own. Most people have treasures right at home—they just need help seeing the potential.
What pieces do you often help people reuse?
Art, lamps, and accent tables are really common. You can reframe art to give it a new look. Lamps might just need a new shade to add texture or pattern. Tables can be painted for a pop of color or stained to add warmth.
What about paint colors? What’s trending?
Most people keep gathering spaces neutral. Since we’re color certified, we often help select a “gray that’s not blue” or a “beige that’s not yellow.”
We love clients who want to express themselves or add interest to their home with color, especially in a surprising place like the dining room or powder room. We’re seeing warm undertones in browns, plums, and reds. Colors like Mocha Mousse and Cinnamon Slate are perfect for fall. And earthy greens and slate blues are still going strong.
It seems this fall is all about warmth, character, and creativity. With a few fresh touches—or a simple “shop the house” moment—you can fall back in love with your home and make it feel uniquely, beautifully yours.

We love using what people already have to tell a story or create a sense of nostalgia … versus buying all new.
