If hosting a big feast at your home and having hours of cleaning up to do afterward—plus so many containers full of leftovers in your fridge—doesn't sound like how you want Thanksgiving to go this year, maybe going out for dinner is the better option for you. Here are four Kansas City restaurants with special Thanksgiving Day menus so you don't have to sacrifice your favorite traditions.
Tavernonna, connected to Hotel Phillips is offering a special Thanksgiving event including a buffet lunch 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost for lunch is $49 for adults and $24 for kids ages 6-12. Kids younger than 6 eat for free. They will also be serving a Thanksgiving dinner with all of the traditional sides 5-10 p.m. for $29 per person. You can make your reservations on OpenTable.
If you have a vegan in your family or just want to do something non-traditional and nourish your body with veggies, Cafe Gratitude is hosting a Thanksgiving lunch 12-3 p.m. The meal is completely free, as a way for them to show their genuine thanks for the Kansas City community. Enjoy an all-organic salad, entree and dessert. Food may run out, so get there early!
