Today more than ever we find ourselves relying on our community the most. We are relying on our friends, family, coworkers, health workers, or any circle you find yourself part of to keep moving forward each day. Lauren and John, founders of Cocktail Squad, have like all of us, adjusted their lives and small business in a blink of an eye. They’ve had to find ways to keep the hustle going and keep their business growing in a changed environment. After speaking with them, there is definitely something that hasn’t changed, their commitment to the “squad life”.

Cocktail Squad goes beyond crafted canned cocktails; the name says it all. It’s about bringing people together and sharing experiences, adventures, and maybe even some new activities with physical distance in mind. The portability of their products allows for “to-go experiences” and the idea that your squad can be with you wherever you go. But who is your Squad? Or what do you do now to find those special moments?

Since concerts and music festivals have been cancelled for the summer, Lauren and John, who have great passion for connectivity with music in Colorado, have started “Squad Sessions”. This is an online Concert Cocktail Hour every Thursday which releases a music set from an artist recording from their home. As they like to say, this is the “fabric of their brand” - to support a community they believe in (encouraging visitors to donate to frontline causes) and provide some lightheartedness and a fun space for anyone that is missing social connections or who maybe just need to dance it off.

So, who is your Cocktail Squad? Well, anyone.  Anyone who reminisces on having a cold drink outside, daydreams of sandy beaches and backpacking adventures with family, someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and enjoys collaborations, great stories, and “cheersing” with friends or family. The Cocktail Squad name says it all. Different animals with no particular faces, with alternate goals and ways of life, but with the certainty that they are here in this world, sharing spaces, experiences, and coexisting together.
