Willow Branch Raffles Off A New Home in Thompson's Station

A Williamson County homebuilder recently raffled off a new home in one of Middle Tennessee’s more desirable neighborhoods and it’s right here in Thompson’s Station.

Willow Branch Homes built and raffled the home as a benefit for Monroe Carrel Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and the I Am Second foundation. The property is situated in the heart of the Canterbury neighborhood.

Tickets for a chance to win the $700,000 home were sold for $100 each between August 31 and November 27 last year. The winner was selected via a random electronic drawing. “We’re proud to be a part of this community and to be a local homebuilder,” says Willow Branch COO, Paul Winegar. “The reason we’re as successful as we are is because of the people in the community. We give back where we can.”

Ticket sales proceeds of $639,000 were distributed equally to Children’s Hospital and I Am Second. “We wanted to partner with them because they struck us as doing so much in the community,” says Winegar. “We approached both organizations with the idea and they jumped right on it.”

It was Willow Branch’s first raffle. Winegar termed it a “work in progress but we made it successful.”
Plans are in the works to raffle another home in 2022. “We’re working on an agreement for the next one and hopefully, we can come to a long term agreement over the next few months for as far as we can see,” says Winegar.

The raffled home is Willow Branch’s Fenwick model, which is available with four to five bedrooms, 3.5 baths and 3,072 square feet. The interior is designed by Willow Branch along with I Am Second's celebrity ambassadors, Kathie Lee Gifford and Moriah Peters.

“The winner was shocked and surprised,” says Winegar. “They thought they would donate to a good cause and did not expect or think it would happen to them.”

Canterbury presented an opportunity for Willow Branch to extend its reach beyond Brentwood and Franklin. “We built in Canterbury because it’s one of the most successful and largest communities in the state,” says Winegar. “Our homes feature very unique craftsmanship and they’re different than what other builders are doing. The front elevation has more of an urban feel with garages off a side street or behind the house.”

According to Winegar there are approximately 750 homes in Canterbury with 1,100 projected by end of 2024. WillowBranchHomesTN.com
