Wouldn’t it be fun to look at giant trees that are wonderfully decorated? How about eating s’mores over a roaring bonfire? Can you imagine yourself sipping hot cocoa or tea as you stroll through holiday lights? These are just a few of the things to do this December to bring light into the dark days of winter, and they are all available at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in December.
If you have not been and are wondering what it is, some describe the Arb (What locals call it) as a beautiful in-town getaway, an escape to reflect, re-energize or plan for the future. You will find more than 1,200 acres of gardens, tree collections, prairie and woods and miles of trails at the Arb, making it one of the premier horticultural field laboratories and public display areas in the country – and it’s right in our backyard! Thousands of plant labels offer valuable insights to inspire you to build your own personal oasis.
No matter what you are looking for, the Arb offers a connection with the wonders of nature. There’s a robust holiday schedule at the Arb so go online to learn more: arbwinter
