Wonder Wash

This Spring, Refresh Your Home’s Face with a Serious (Soft) Deep Clean

Spring cleaning—it’s more than just for inside your home. The outside deserves a facelift, too. As you make your vernal spic-and-span list, add exterior pressure washing to the top. Not only will it preserve the value of your property, but as Osborne Pro Wash owner and operator Kyle Osborne says, keeping your home’s exterior in tip-top shape will save you time, money and peace of mind down the road. Here’s why.

Q: For someone who knows nothing about pressure washing, give us the scoop. Why should I consider it?
A: Your home’s exterior is exposed to a series of natural and man-made elements—sunlight, rain, humidity, dirt, pollution, smoke, etc. These attack the exterior walls, eroding the paint, and causing it to crack, peel and develop stains that negatively impact both curb appeal and property value.

Beyond maintaining appearance and value, when done regularly, proper exterior cleaning can eliminate contaminants that contribute to dry rot and mold growth—as well as prevent potentially health-threatening by-products from spreading. Without regular exterior cleaning, moisture, dirt, dust, mold, algae and allergens can affect your family’s health. Here in southern Ohio, this should be a regular maintenance task—to both keep your exterior looking great and prevent slips or falls from dirt and algae accumulating on your deck, patio, porch, walkway and driveway.

Q: What’s “soft washing” and why is it safer for homes than other methods?

A: Soft washing is an exterior cleaning method that uses cleaning solutions, high volume and gentle low pressure to do the work—versus damaging high pressure from a pressure washer. The only surface we use high pressure on is concrete and pavers since they can handle it.

Q: And chemicals to remove gunk and grime? Can they harm my home’s exterior?

A: We use 100% biodegradable cleaning agents and phosphate-free surfactants. Not only are they environmentally and eco-friendly, they’re designed specifically to properly and safely clean a home’s exterior.

Q: Any other parts of my home that should be washed? Additional services you provide?

A: We also offer cleaning for the roofs, fences, decks (wood and composite), dryer vents (November–March), dumpster pads, drive-throughs and concrete—including driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches, and retaining walls (stamped and exposed aggregate). Plus concrete sealing, commercial building and property cleaning, and annual maintenance cleanings.

Q: So, what sets Osborne Pro Wash apart from the competition … what makes your company unique?

A: Exterior cleaning is all we do—it’s our specialization and sole focus. And we strive to always stay up-to-date with the latest and best cleaning techniques, cleaning solutions and state-of-the-art equipment.
