Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in kids under 15 years of age in the U.S. One in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. by the time they turn 20, which means there are children in our communities facing cancer right now. With only 4 percent of the federal government’s total funding for cancer research dedicated to childhood cancer annually, this month we have the opportunity to rally around families and children on their journey through childhood cancer.
