At Keith Zars Pools, we believe designing a custom pool starts with more than just picking tiles and pouring water into a hole. Sure, you could take that route—but chances are, you’ll end up with a pool that leaves you thinking, “We should’ve done this differently.” Instead, we begin with a simple question: What does your Saturday afternoon look like? From there, we build a pool that fits your lifestyle—not just your backyard.
Step 1: Discover Your Lifestyle
It all begins with a one-on-one interview that explores how you spend time at home. When you meet with your Personal Pool Design Consultant, you will be asked open-ended questions to learn more about how you want to use your backyard. By learning about your lifestyle, your kids, pets, hobbies, or swimming ability, your Design Consultant learns what your pool needs and wants are and how best to include those into your pool design.
Step 2: Assess Your Home’s Aesthetic
Next, they schedule an at-home visit to tour your home and get to know your style better. They evaluate everything “from the pictures on the walls to the flooring they have to their kitchen backsplash, you start taking all of the small details in, it allows you to better guess and move them towards the decisions they've already made to make that mirror and mimic the decision they're about to make,” Jason Olcott, Senior Design Consultant from Keith Zars Pools explains.
Step 3: Curate and Visualize
Then, you will head over to the Keith Zars Pools Design Center, where you can explore a wide array of tile, lighting, and finish samples. Stroll through seven stunning demo pools (soon to be ten) to spark inspiration. Using 3D visualization software, you can preview your pools design such as Plaster color, tile and coping as well as fire features, tanning ledges, or decorative tiling.
Step 4: Personalize Your Oasis
Finally, discover the finishing touches that elevate your pool into a true backyard retreat. Keith Zars Pools offers a variety of enhancements—from integrated fire features and tranquil water elements to shaded lounge areas and built-in seating. We’ll guide you through each option, complete with transparent cost breakdowns for both current selections and future upgrades.
