If you’ve been thinking about cosmetic surgery but have yet to take the leap, you’re in luck as Gilbert is home to some of the Valley’s top-quality cosmetic surgeons. Two of these surgeons, Dr. David Haralson, D.M.D., M.D., of Spectrum Oral and Facial Surgery, and Dr. Joy Brauer, D.D.S., are here to help locals put their best face forward.

Dr. David Haralson, D.M.D., M.D.

Dr. David Haralson is devoted to changing lives by restoring the beauty and function of the face and jaws for his patients. He shares that he focuses on up-to-date procedures and innovations that are aimed at improving the quality of life for his patients. When it comes to new innovations, Dr. Haralson is focused on not only making sure his patients get the best care, but also have access to the top cutting-edge technology around. “We are celebrating our 15th year at Spectrum Oral and Facial Surgery,” he says. “We are excited about our new Candela CO2 laser, which is a fractional C02 facial skin resurfacing laser. It provides excellent results with less downtime than traditional C02 lasers. Patients are raving about their results.”
Dr. Haralson majored pre-med at the University of Utah where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 and attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction. - spectrumoralandfacialsurgery.com

Dr. Joy Brauer, D.D.S.

For Dr. Joy Brauer, it is all about helping people improve the appearance of their smile. Whether it is dental implants and dental veneers or orthodontics, teeth whitening or a full-mouth reconstruction, Dr. Brauer is focused on giving anyone the smile they have dreamed of. Plastic surgery and care for patients is a family affair for Dr. Brauer, whose father was a plastic surgeon. He would take her with him on emergency calls, showcasing the care and attention warranted with these sorts of medical emergencies. It’s an experience she keeps with her to this day. “I study my craft, cosmetic dentistry, daily because I have the desire to be one of the best in my field,” she says. "My passion for creating beautiful smiles is sewn in my heart. I believe it is something I was born to do and something that I do to remain close to my father that passed away when I was 17 years old. This isn’t just a job for me. It is my passion." - joyfulsmilesaz.com
