And the winner is…
In August, Edina Lifestyle teamed up with Andrew Vick of Vick Studios to offer a contest where families could submit a photo of them at their favorite dining spot around town and they would be entered to win a $100 gift card to that restaurant.
After much consideration, Sloane Leary and mom, Nicole, have been crowned winners of the best photo.
The duo, who love spending time together, stopped by Yumi Sushi for some yummy bites and good vibes.
“Yumi Sushi is delicious with large, beautiful specialty rolls and a ton of variety,” Nicole says. “This is our special spot for mom and daughter dates, and was Sloane’s first restaurant experience with sushi, which is now her fav food.”
Yumi offers a wide variety of Japanese cuisine, including but not limited to, noodles, sashimi, sushi rolls, Kobe beef, fried rice, dessert, sake and cocktails.

The runner up, Zanna Shannon, and mom, Susan, visited Oh Crêpe, a brand new crêperie and cafe in Edina.
“Zanna loves crepes,” Susan says. “She frequently requests we make them together at home. So when this new crepe cafe opened up just blocks from our home, we had to go. Zanna ordered the crepe with Nutella and added whipped cream and strawberries to top it off. Delicious! Two thumbs way up.”
