3. When Jannette had her two sons, she knew she was outnumbered as the only woman in the home. Nevertheless, while successfully running a business, Jannette and husband Jesse taught their sons how to work hard, be humble, and treat others with kindness. Little did Jannette know that her leadership in her son’s lives would guide them to their wives – women who shared her desire to work hard to build a life that benefits their family & the community around them.
Today, Jannette’s daughters-in-law, Marie & Noelle, have joined her and her sister Annie in a brand new venture – becoming owners of Manzano Mountain Retreat. The retreat is a multi-service venue, where corporate clients, brides, and camps alike come for team building, adventure, and romance.
On any given day you may find Noelle facilitating a corporate retreat, Jannette touring the grounds with a bride & groom, Marie decorating and running the onsite mercantile, and Annie running the operations for the Manzano restaurant.
Trailing not too far behind is Marie’s 9-year old daughter Kenzie, who they hope one day will join them in running the show. Along with her brothers Dyson & Roan, Kenzie gives the women purpose and drive, to show her what strong women who work together can accomplish.
Together with their husbands, sons, and nephews, the ladies of Manzano Mountain Retreat are excited to show New Mexico what a family of women in leadership can offer.
