PGA's Youngest Championship Director

Why Catherine Clifton chose Brookhaven

When making plans to relocate to Atlanta in the spring of 2019, and as her team geared up to plan for the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Catherine Clifton only considered two options for home base - Buckhead or Brookhaven.

"Both areas are rich with community and amenities that resonated with me, including an urban yet suburban feel with great local bars, restaurants, coffee shops and parks. The area is also home to a couple of old friends that I’ve reconnected with," she says.  Bonus!

Catherine Clifton is the Championship Director for the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and currently sits as the youngest Championship Director at PGA, leading efforts to raise awareness for the tournament by engaging more than 1,200 volunteers and connecting fans of all ages.

On apartment hunting trips, she tested the commute to the office at the home of the upcoming tournament, Atlantic Athletic Club. She chose a charming property on Dresden Drive. Savi Provisions along with dozens of other fantastic restaurants within walking distance sealed the deal and since then, she has sampled them all over the last two years in the area.

"Haven is a must-go for every special occasion, delicious Mexican flair and top-notch service can always be expected at Verde Taqueria and Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub is the perfect spot for a low-key evening (my mom always orders the Korean BBQ Rice Bowl after driving in from Kentucky)," says Catherine.

Her miniature dachshund, Eloise couldn’t be happier with her home in Brookhaven. "We’ve clocked miles around the neighborhoods surrounding Capital City Club, in the sunshine and rain."  Welcome home!
