The Boise Nice Project (BNP) is a 501(c)(3) established in 2001, created to identify, preserve, and enhance those things that make living and working in Boise so special. The goal of our efforts is to continue to support Boise as a model of how to treat one another in a welcoming and neighborly way, as well as inspire residents and visitors to see themselves as stewards of their community and encourage others to do the same. BNP sponsors the Wave to a Stranger Campaign, Boise Plogs (jogging while picking up litter). Through print, television, radio and social media, BNP highlights welcoming and neighborly acts of kindness that Boiseans show visitors and each other. Last year we implemented a “Niceness Challenge” focused primarily on young students. BNP is currently a member of the Boise Metro Chamber, Downtown Boise Association, City Club of Boise, Buy Idaho, Downtown Boise Rotary Club, and others. BNP also participates in several other events including all YMCA fun-runs.
