About Us
Mama's Happy started in 2010, when Amanda Ficek opened a shop that became much more than a store: a place where women could work, create, and cheer each other on. After 13 years she was ready to hang her hat, and rather than let it end, a group of the shop's own "mamas" carried it forward. One of them, Ashley, opened Mama's Happy In The City on Main Street in Maple Grove, and she didn't do it alone. Her co-owner is her next-door neighbor, also named Ashley, who moved in with kids the same age as hers and quickly became a lifelong friend. The two spent two years daydreaming about decorating and creating together before making it official. The shop is full of clothing, home decor, seasonal and holiday decor, restored furniture, vintage finds, plants, clean-living products, tabletop and bar pieces, and one-of-a-kind gifts, and it is a home for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It's also built for gathering: how-to classes and workshops, private event rentals, and a spot to meet a friend. The Ashleys offer interior design, home staging and decorating help, plus decluttering and organizing for anyone feeling overwhelmed at home. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Call (952) 324-6580 or stop by 7804 Main Street.
