About Us

I am a Cincinnati-based portrait painter working primarily in oil. Deeply drawn to people and their stories, I seek to capture not only a likeness, but also the presence, character, and emotional life of each subject. My portraits include children, adults, families, horses, and their beloved pets, creating a visual story within a single, quietly connected moment. Raised in a family of professional artists, I was immersed in art from an early age and developed a lasting appreciation for the classical paintings of the Old Masters. I studied illustration at the Cincinnati Academy of Design and began my professional career as a commission artist at the Pendleton Art Center in Over-the-Rhine. Although I first worked in gouache and acrylic, I soon discovered oil paint to be my true medium for its richness, depth, and flexibility. My career has also included murals, theatrical scenery, themed entertainment elements, children’s book illustration, and costume work for a regional ballet company. One of my most meaningful projects was a portrait series of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., created for the Museum of Spiritual Art and now held by Enclave. Today, I work full time from my Cincinnati studio, creating commissioned portraits for private clients. My paintings are held in private collections locally and throughout the country. I am also the mother of three wildly grown children, whose curiosity and imagination continue to inspire me.
