About Us
National League of Junior Cotillion teaches thousands of students each year in etiquette, manners, ethics, and social dance. And Kansas City is proud to be part of this tradition. The Greater Kansas City chapter offers Junior Cotillion classes to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. These classes are a mix of dancing and etiquette. The etiquette includes table manners, introductions, paying and receiving compliments. We’ll also touch on some formal skills in class as well, such as answering a formal invitation in writing, thank you notes, escorting a partner (for my gentlemen), and formal receiving lines. We include sports etiquette and phone etiquette in our curriculum. There is truly something for everyone in these classes and the skills learned are the foundation for a lifetime of character, dignity, and respect.
