Owner Joseph Anselmo says, "This is our tribute to Carmela, our paternal mother, grandmother and family matriarch who immigrated to America from Sicily. We offer a tasting room inspired by ones in Napa and Sonoma, California, but just North of Dallas. We invite you to come in and experience our wines and friendly atmosphere. We think you’ll be surprised. And we believe 'Big Mama' Carmela would be proud."

Carmela Winery decided to throw out the old wine club model and create one that delivers quality and value putting buyers in control. Joseph expresses, "We think the subscription model is broken. Everyone wants a good selection, great value, and most important a choice of when to participate. At Carmela Winery, we narrow the selection to the very best wines at incredible prices. Wines from around the world, ready for pick up or delivery when you order six or more bottles."
