Fox Hill Creates Space for New Style of Living & Lifestyle Classes

Similar to golfing communities or neighborhoods built around community pools and clubhouses, Fox Hill just east of Castle Pines in Franktown, is being built around a professionally managed farm. 1 : Choose a base – Large cutting boards, marble slabs or chalkboards are great options to ground your eminent masterpiece.  Consider the guests; a wine tasting may call for an elevated marble, while a casual afternoon assuages a relaxed butcher block. 

2 : Master your meats – A great charcuterie does not require a huge selection; just intentional thought in the pairing of the accouterment.  Two or three meat selections will suffice as long as they’re complimentary.  Consider spicy salamino and pair with sweeter prosciutto, or smoked pancetta paired with summer sausage for variety.

3 : Consider your cheeses – Ensure there is a variety of cheeses to please all guests’ palates.  Consider multiple color and milk varieties such as Brie, Havarti, and Gouda; and don’t hesitate to include a Goat or Bleu for an extra boost of flavor.  Local groceries will carry flavored Goat Cheeses like honey or fig that may allow the skeptic to find a new favorite.

4 : Create Some Color – Add accents and spreads to complement the mains you chose.  Olives, roasted red pepper, artichokes, honey and spicy mustard are a few of our favorites.  Think outside the box and add something sweet!  A locally sourced preserve adds a welcome balance to the spread.

5 : Enjoy – At the end of the day, a hearty charcuterie board is a crowd-pleasing ensemble that allows you to appeal to all palates.
