It’s finally summer in the South. We’ve dug ourselves out of the snow and ice, and knocked off a few springtime frosts to get to this glorious season, and what better way to keep cool in the sunshine and warm temperatures than with a refreshing, summer drink? Some people like to
enjoy them by the pool as they’re catching some rays. Some people like to enjoy them floating down the Harpeth River when they’re not on the paddle. And some people like to enjoy them with their favorite people around a patio table as the fireflies twinkle in the yard. Most everyone
has a special way they prefer to enjoy a summertime beverage, and Franklin has offerings for every fashion. Whether it’s wine, beer or cocktails you’re looking for, dozens of delightful options are just around the corner.

1. Vintage Vine 100
An always-popular summer wine choice is rosé. Vintage Vine 100, Franklin’s first true wine bar, offers a rosé wine flight including wines from three different countries and grape varieties. Light, crisp and fruity flavors pair perfectly with fresh fruits, cheeses and Vintage Vine 100’s stylish rooftop bar.
2. Chrysalis
As far as cocktails go, Chrysalis has it covered. Identifying as a modern Italian restaurant, let them shake up your summer evening with a Crimson Rose cocktail. With gin, white rum, Cocchi Rosa, and a hint of raspberry, this mildly-sweet, zippy cocktail compliments any seafood dish like their Gamberetti Ubriaco.
3. Hop House Tennessee Taps
Summer is a great season for beer-lovers, and Hop House Tennessee Taps has thirty-six local beer taps to choose from. One of them is currently Mill Creek Brewing Co.’s “Lil Darlin,” a light-bodied, citrus-infused wheat beer. It’s smooth, refreshing, and a tasty way to wash down a Hop House Bavarian pretzel.
