“My number one goal is that my team and my clients are taken care of. It’s not about me.” This business philosophy explains why A Fresh Space, the company Liz Jenkins started when she moved to Franklin over 15 years ago, has become such a true success story. A Fresh Space is a professional organization, move management, and unpacking company that works closely with its clients to meet their personal organization goals and objectives.
Says Liz,” My amazing team of 18 people set up our clients for success in the spaces we create for them. The company has grown by word-of-mouth and referrals, and this is because of the great team I have. It is so important for my team to be well-trained and learn the importance of treating our clients with
empathy and compassion.”
After an initial consultation with a client to create the plan of action, her team then helps the client declutter. “We call this our editing process and a lot of clients can get stuck here. It’s really about helping them think about what still has value in their lives today.” Next, they create systems and style each space to help ensure every new system looks as wonderful as it works. Their areas of expertise include closets, kitchens and pantries, home offices, garages, bathrooms, bonus rooms, playrooms, bedrooms, and more.
“Everything we do in the company is with thought and care,” notes Liz. “We bring in-depth experience and a strong knowledge of the proper materials to set up organized spaces that really work for our clients. Our job is not to pry things out of our clients’ hands. We understand this is a difficult decision-making process for many people and we help facilitate and guide them through the process.”
A Fresh Space also offers moving and unpacking services including decluttering and estate clearing, staging the home, moving preparation, and unpacking and organizing clients in their new homes. In addition, their three resident handymen can help with such home repairs as caulking around bathtubs, painting, adjusting doors, assembling furniture, repairing doorbells, and much more.
Liz is proud of the growth her company has seen over the years, and with good reason. “We started out old-school. There was no social media, no Instagram to show people how to organize their homes. We bring the depth of knowledge and experience to the table, which is really what make our spaces work. We’ve really grown over the years, so much more than I ever expected or dreamed. It has been so amazing to be able to do this.” AFreshSpace.com
