After spending a lifetime farming in the community, Williamson County native, Dwight Lynch opened Riverside Antiques in 1996 as a hobby and out of his love for vintage things. Lynch instilled his hard work ethic to his daughter, Lynda McGuire. Lynda stepped into working at her father’s antique store when her children began school, learning the day-to-day of running a business and nurturing relationships in the community. “We want everyone who comes into our store to leave feeling like they just visited family,” states McGuire.
In 2017, Lynch decided to retire and passed the store down to Lynda and her husband, Tom. After becoming owners of the store, Tom and Lynda decided it was time to rebrand and changed the name to Riverside Franklin. “We, along with our team, worked day and night painting, taking out walls, and refreshing the store. We wanted to put our touch onto the great business my dad started. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity he gave us,” reminisces Lynda. Mr. Lynch still stops by to check in and both the McGuires’ sons, Cole and Luke, help with the family business as much as they can. At any given time you could walk in Riverside Franklin and see four generations behind the counter.
“We absolutely love Franklin. As a 5th generation Franklin native, my roots run deep here. Tom and I were married here 30 years ago and we’ve raised our family here. Franklin is home and always will be. We are thankful and blessed to have our business in such a supportive community,” says McGuire.
Riverside Franklin is filled with a curated mix of unique furniture, lighting, home accessories, textiles, and vintage finds. Two showrooms are stocked with dining tables, chairs, sideboards, consoles and other on-trend quality furniture pieces. You’ll find locally made fire pits, outdoor planters, trellises, arbors, and garden items in the courtyard.
“Riverside Franklin is our passion. We work hard to provide exceptional and friendly service. Our designers are happy to help you with your next project. We have an amazing in-house delivery team. We could not do this without our wonderful team and supportive family. Thank you for not only supporting us but all the amazing locally owned small businesses in Franklin,” shares Lynda.
