Support Local Businesses During Their Time Of Need

Help Keep Hendersonville Strong

The economic fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic has taken its toll on all of us. From healthcare systems to school systems, no institutions have been immune from the disease itself or the quarantine and social distancing steps taken to mitigate its effects.

Perhaps one of the hardest hit sectors of our economy is small business.

That’s right, small business.

You know, the same small businesses who help raise funds for school activities.

The ones who sponsor our youth league athletics.

The ones who support our community events and festivals.

For over two months, most of our locally-owned restaurants, boutiques and service businesses have either been forced to close completely or to operate under extreme financial distress. Although many of them have been given the green light to begin to reopen, the road back to prosperity is a long one, filled with many potential pitfalls. Unfortunately, some of them will never recover. Those who do recover face a future of uncertainty.

Locally-owned businesses, including Hendersonville Lifestyle, are not large, corporate entities run by wealthy executives and boards. They are small, family enterprises that represent the hopes and dreams inherent in all of us. They are deeply invested in our community – not just because of financial interests, but because it is home.

Small businesses have always supported our community. Now, it’s time that our community helps support them in their time of need.

How do we do that?

Buy local.

If you are dining out, choose a local restaurant.

If you need new clothes or furnishings, choose a local boutique.

If you need home repairs, choose a local service professional.

By buying locally, we help the businesses who have been there for us, thereby creating a circle of support that benefits everyone.

United we stand.
