The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, opened in Nashville’s SoBro neighborhood back in August of 2020, bringing an entirely new level of overnight options for visitors and Music city residents looking to “get away from it all”. And in a town bustling with visitors 365 days a year, that is certainly something to be thankful for.
As guests arrive by vehicle in the grand porte-cochere, they’re surrounded by a live greenery-covered wall and a massive video screen providing a digital art display. Raindrop door handles especially commissioned for the space greet guests inside the luxury hotel and just inside is a gorgeous reception desk with custom paneling from popular Texas-based boot company Lucchese. The exquisitely-detailed leather piece merges inspiration from Texas and Tennessee with owner Joel Pizzuti’s home state of Ohio.
The Joseph hosts many art pieces from the Pizzuti’s family collection and exclusive art all with ties to Tennessee. Over 1000 pieces of art fill the space 297-room hotel, which also hosts an incredible Presidential Suite.
On the first floor, guests can imbibe at the lobby bar or make reservations for a meal at Yolan. All of the culinary options at the Joseph are spearheaded by Award-Winning Chef Tony Mantuano and his wife, Wine and Hospitality Expert Cathy Mantuano. At Yolan, choose from a la carte or Prix Fixe dining options or for an extra special experience, reserve La Tavola in La Cucina an actual table in the kitchen available only on Friday and Saturday nights to get right in on the action. The menu rotates seasonally, but caviar, gnocchi, cacio e pepe, and a hefty breaded veal chop are constants on the menu. Desserts from Executive Pastry Chef Noelle Marchetti are always stunning works of art that also please the palate.
Take the elevator up to the 21st floor, and find stellar views, food and cocktails at The Joseph’s swanky indoor-outdoor rooftop bar, Denim. The outdoor section hosts a luxurious pool perfect for a true getaway in the heart of the city. Also on the top floor: the Joseph’s spa, Rose. Each treatment at Rose begins with a signature foot bath infused with rose petals and botanicals inspired by the surrounding natural environment and indigenous elements of Tennessee. An adjoining 1,500-square-foot fitness center includes hi-tech equipment and city views.
Named after owner Joel Pizzuti’s grandfather, the Joseph is a luxurious tower of sophistication, with each and every detail considered and well-placed whispers of Nashville throughout.
"We are proud of the role The Joseph has played in enriching Nashville’s downtown and providing new experiences for locals. Our amenities such as public access to world-class art from the renowned Pizzuti Collection, as well as ongoing interactive programs, like the pasta-making classes and wine tastings at Yolan are regularly enjoyed by our neighbors. We love the relationships that have been built within our local community.” - Mark Yanke, General Manager, The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville
