Julie Mason's oil paintings certainly reflect the beauty of the desert. By day, Mason is a mortgage loan officer at People's Mortgage in Queen Creek. Yet her true passion is art. Recently, she was selected by the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show to paint one of their free-standing horses to be displayed in Fashion Square Mall. Her horse, 'Esperanza' will be one of seven to be auctioned off in order to benefit scholarships from the Scottsdale Rotary Club. For Mason, art creates an important atmosphere in any space.
