Relics Antique and Furnishing Consignment is home to European, indoor and outdoor antiques, ironwork and salvaged architectural pieces. Created by Tim Harris and his husband, Todd, this unique and longstanding antique store showcases hundreds of hand-selected items that allow customers to creatively mix and match to create the look and feel they hope to achieve in their homes. Once heavily European-influenced, the now consignment-focused showroom has been a labor of love for Tim since his husband passed away.
Creating a gift basket at Relics acts as the ideal housewarming gift.
"For this DIY basket, we’ve chosen pieces which have character and history and can be repurposed in the house or garden," Tim says.
Gift Basket Items
- Antique French enameled cast iron jardinière would be an elegant form on a generous window sill loaded with white orchids and dressed with Spanish moss. $595
- Santa Maria Novella, the world's oldest pharmacy, creates the most intoxicating potpourri and scented terracotta pomegranates. Potpourri, $35; pomegranate, $69
- Wine bottle collars and veils are a beautiful way to present a gift bottle and end up as bling that can dazzle a bar area. $20–$35 each (shown on bottles)
- LesRuches candle collection showcases organic beeswax candles. As the candles burn, they emit negative ions, cleaning the air around them and rejuvenating the body.
"We wanted to offer pieces that were one-of-a-kind and high-quality. What sets us apart is our website which you can buy from directly if you cannot visit, and we change it out with fresh inventory often. A visit to our store is like going to a home. We have a variety of pieces from all time periods and help customers envision mixing of genres in their own homes to create a custom look."
