The brand’s launch into the Seattle retail space is part of their 2021 storefront roll-out in 8 markets nationwide. The Madison Reed Hair Color Bar opens in April 2021 in Kirkland, at The Village at Totem Lake.

The opening comes amidst a period of high growth for the brand. During the peak of the pandemic, Madison Reed saw its new customers increase dramatically to 12X pre-COVID 19 levels, even as its Hair Color Bars closed.
“We are humbled that so many people turned to us,” Errett said. “Now we can give them the option of getting their hair colored by a professional colorist as well using the same 8-Free formula.”
Madison Reed’s hair color is formulated in Italy to meet strict EU safety standards and the company’s own “8 free” standard. The products are odor-free and free of eight harsh ingredients typically found in hair color -- PPD, ammonia, parabens, resorcinol, phthalates, gluten, SLS, and titanium dioxide. The colors also are full of argan oil, keratin, ginseng root extract, mongongo, and other oils for added shine and softness.
The Madison Reed Hair Color Bar concept is designed to deliver stunning salon-quality hair color, that is both affordable and convenient for time-pressed women, with ingredients they can feel good about. At Hair Color Bars, the typical salon secrecy surrounding how color is mixed is gone: Clients can buy the exact color formula and products that were just used on their hair. The Hair Color Bar’s professional staff will also teach clients how to color their hair at home – which is more important now with more women than ever finding themselves coloring their hair at home.
The Madison Reed Hair Color Bar at The Village at Totem Lake opens with Covid protocols in place to ensure customer and employee safety. Masks and social distancing will be required. Its hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday: 10am-7pm.
