White Fish Montana and Las Vegas are just over 1000 miles apart but a world away in many ways except for one thing - Craggy Range Sports Bar & Grill. White Fish is home to the renowned Whistling Andy Distillery and the birthplace of Craggy Range Sports Bar & Grill about 15 years ago. This venue, excellent for sports and tasty comfort food, quickly became a favorite for families to come together after youth sports games and take in every sport imaginable on their big-screen TVs.

Craggy Range has a unique position in Las Vegas as the only sports bar at the Dollar Loan Center Arena, home of the NHL minor league hockey team, the Henderson Silver Knights (an affiliate of the Las Vegas Golden Knights).

Upon arrival, the spectacular Dollar Loan Center would rival any arena in the country. Its modern, sleek architecture stands out and is visible blocks away. Then your eyes are drawn with great anticipation for all ages to the large outside patio and welcoming bright sign beckoning guests to Craggy Range Sports Bar & Grill.

“The Dollar Loan Center seats around 6000 people for games. We have 330 seats for inside seating at Craggy Range and an additional 80 on the outside patio,” stated Craggy Range General Manager Chris Maresh. “There isn’t a bad one in the house, as every seat at every table has unobstructed views of multiple large-screen TVs. If you don’t see YOUR team on, ask, and they will put it up on the closest TV to you.”

Las Vegas-area sports bars abound within the new sports megacity; few, if any, are family-friendly. Craggy Range sets the stage for family viewing, separating them from the others. The restaurant is a non-gaming venue, and the vast circular bar is set in the front of the restaurant, separating it from the other tables.

“It is not uncommon for entire families and youth sports teams to arrive in mass after a hard-fought game to celebrate with elevated Montana-inspired dishes,” added Maresh. “Some of our most popular dishes are Fish and Chips, Tacos, Black and Bleu Bites, and Warm Butter Cake.”

The bar program is exceptional, with many local beers on tap and by the bottle. Speaking about beer, why not indulge in their Beer Tower 48-ounce or 98-ounce to share? Try a beverage that reflects Montana’s Americana. The whiskey and bourbon selections feature familiar names Maker’s 46, Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek, Basil Hayden’s, Yellowstone Select, and straight from White Fish, of course, Whistling Andy Bottled in Bond.

Take a seat and start with Big Mtn Nachos, a massive mound of house-fried tortilla chips, melted cheese blend, diced tomatoes, black beans, green onions, fresh jalapeños, black olives, guacamole, and salsa that can feed the whole table or team.

The Black & Bleu Bites, cooked-to-order blackened sirloin bites, bleu cheese crumbles, warm bleu cheese sauce, mixed greens, and a grilled baguette are a true delight, making this a guest favorite. Pro Tip:  Follow this up with the decadent Ground Bison Chili, with cheese melting with every rich bite.

Keeping on the bison track, the Bison Burger is a perfect ground bison blend hand-formed with mozzarella and parmesan, topped with Swiss, cheddar, and sage mayo, and it is brilliant with every juicy bite. Pro Tip: medium rare is the way to go.

Another house favorite is the Shredder Taco featuring shredded chicken, pepper jack cheese, cabbage slaw, southwest pico de gallo, queso fresco, mango-habanero-lime sauce, and fresh cilantro.

Craggy Range also has an excellent kids’ menu with mini cheeseburgers with fries or tater tots, chicken strips with fries or tater tots, kid’s pasta with butter, alfredo, or marinara sauce, and the highly requested mac ‘n cheese.

For the big finale, don’t miss out on the Warm Butter Cake with a golden crust and cream cheese filling, served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce dusted with smoked sea salt flakes. For something more decadent, the Craggy Range Cheesecake, NY style, with a traditional graham cracker crust and a choice of sea salt caramel, raspberry melba, or dark label chocolate to top it off. Craggy Range aims for guests to get happy with a Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Stop into Craggy Range Sports Bar & Grill for a game or just to hang out and take in a little bit of Montana with every sip and bite, along with a side of Las Vegas.
