Before dawn breaks, shoppers are already gathering outside the warehouse doors, coffee in hand and excitement building for what they might discover inside. For Sara Sells, founder Sara Young, that enthusiasm never gets old.

“Seeing people lined up before the doors open is something I’ll never take for granted,” Sara said.

What began as a passion for making quality furniture more accessible has evolved into one of the area's most anticipated monthly shopping events. Sara Sells has built a loyal following through its once-a-month warehouse sales featuring designer furnishings, the exclusive Sara Sells Home collection, and one-of-a-kind pieces, all offered below retail pricing and ready to take home that day.

Sara said the concept was born from recognizing a gap in the furniture market.

“So often, you’re choosing between high-end designer pieces with luxury price tags or lower-cost options that may not offer the same quality or longevity,” Sara said. “I wanted to create something that bridged that gap by offering authentic, high-quality furniture and home décor at prices that felt much more attainable.”

But the business quickly became about more than furniture alone.

“What really shaped Sara Sells was realizing that people wanted more than just furniture,” Sara said. “They loved the experience.”

That experience begins the moment customers walk through the doors. “Our model brings together thoughtful curation, meaningful value, and immediate availability,” Sara said. “Customers can come in, find something they love, and take it home that same day.”

The limited inventory and rotating selection create urgency and discovery that keeps shoppers coming back month after month.

“The once-a-month format naturally creates excitement because every event feels new,” Sara said. “New inventory arrives, the energy is high, and customers know they’ll discover a unique curation each time.”

As the business has grown, so have its offerings. Sara Sells now operates three warehouse locations across three cities, has introduced a Trade Program for designers, and a Whole Home Program for those furnishing multiple rooms or second homes, further extending the brand’s commitment to quality, value, and personalized service.

Young believes the loyalty customers feel toward Sara Sells is rooted in trust.

“Our customers know we’re intentional about what we bring in,” Sara said. “They trust the quality, they trust the value, and they know the experience is going to feel inspiring rather than overwhelming.”

Curation and design remain Sara’s favorite parts of the business. She focuses on timeless, versatile pieces that can anchor a variety of home styles while allowing customers to express their personalities through layered details and décor.

“I’m always thinking about how people actually live in their homes and how we can offer pieces that are both beautiful and functional,” Sara said.

Over time, Sara Sells has become more than a shopping destination. For many customers, it has become a routine and even a family tradition.

“I love seeing mothers and daughters shopping together, friends making a morning of it, designers bringing clients, or someone furnishing their very first home,” Sara said.

For Sara, the most meaningful reward has been watching the business grow into a community centered around the idea of home.

“Home is such a personal thing,” Sara said. “It’s where life happens, where memories are made, and where people gather.”

That sense of connection is what continues to turn a monthly furniture sale into an experience customers eagerly await long before sunrise.
