After getting married, Tennessee native Edie Martin moved to Northern California where she resided for over 40 years. She always hoped to return to her beloved home state. After her husband passed away, she decided that the time had come for a return to Franklin to be closer to her sister and other family members. This past summer, Edie and her daughter took all possible precautions as they drove across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic, making her journey back home.

It was also important to Edie to be around other people and be part of a community. Having that social connection and access to resources is important for a lot of the residents.
