The Defender is the perfect combination of daily driver, road trips, and off-road champ. It is truly the perfect family car, with a heavy dose of class. It has the luxury and refinement of the Range Rover family, and with bold looks and spacious interior, it makes for a truly iconic ride.
I enjoyed the Defender for a road trip to the California coast. We could enjoy the warm sunshine with the sliding panoramic roof. With its simple system, the Defender's dashboard sports a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that runs a brand-new interface for Land Rover called Pivi Pro. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as is an in-dash navigation system, a six-speaker stereo, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. Both 10- and 14-speaker Meridian stereo systems are optional features.
Inside it is perfectly clean, simple, and user-friendly. The front passenger area is spacious, with room for passengers in the back, as well as great room for cargo in the back. The exterior looks tough, yet sophisticated, and the unique Gondwana Stone color is sure to turn heads.
Its performance is impressive, with a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine which is standard, and a turbo inline-six-cylinder with a hybrid-assist optional feature. A myriad of off-road technologies are standard or optional, and all models come with all-wheel drive and a fully-independent suspension.
This 2021 Land Rover Defender is highly recommended for the adventurer who seeks comfort and off-road capability. Considering the quality and luxury look and feel of this vehicle, it is reasonably priced with a base price of $62,250. With the bells and whistles pricing is $72,780.
