Local Photographer Offers Something Extra

06 Photo - Bruce Muhlbradt

If you are looking for a local photographer with a full-service studio, look no further than 406 Photo located in the Emerson Center right here in Bozeman. Originally from North Dakota, Bruce Muhlbradt has called Bozeman home since 1995. “My parents were avid skiers and I spent so much time at Bridger Bowl that Bozeman felt more like home than home did,” he said. Bruce spent most of his life taking various photographs of landscapes and wildlife, but it was during a brief stint in Santa Fe Community College where he finally honed his craft. “The classes were great, “Bruce said. “The professors taught all these tricks that come in handy when you are working with people.”

And it’s those nuggets of wisdom that have helped 406 Photo offer a unique experience when it comes to weddings. “I know people like all the digital stuff, and they get that from me,” Bruce said. “But I like going the extra mile. I make an appointment with them after the wedding so we can create some real works of art for their walls.” Bruce also includes an individualized wedding album for each client and prides himself on knowing little tricks to help make his subject look their very best. “I have a knack of putting them at ease, helping them to relax in front of the camera and really capturing their personality,” he said. “After all, nobody wants to have a photoshoot like Monica and Chandler on Friends!” And when it comes to location, Bruce has shot weddings at every venue from hockey arenas to cow pastures to high-end establishments.  “406 Photo can provide all you are looking for and then some!”
