Did you know that Jowler Creek was the first winery in Missouri to receive the prestigious Missouri Agricultural Stewardship Assurance Program (ASAP) across five categories (specialty crop, energy, farmstead, livestock and grassland)?
“Being ‘green’ can mean so many things… For Jowler Creek, being green means making choices throughout the year to positively impact our environment, being efficient with the resources we have available, and improving our wine quality to sustain our business.” —Jowler Creek
We try and do everything we can to care for our land, our people, and our animals to sustain the business for generations to come.” —Jowler Creek
If you’re looking to go a little more rustic and do some service, check out the Kansas City Pig Rescue Network and volunteer at one of the foster farms, Willeyville Farm in Cleveland, Missouri, or Circle A Farm in Winston, Missouri. You can also sign up to sponsor a pig!
“We believe in taking the time to understand each pig who comes into our program, so that we can better help them rehabilitate and prepare for a forever home of their own. For some pigs, this is a quick process and for other pigs, it can take over a year or more. While our goal is always to help pigs through their traumas and place them into loving forever families, this is not something we rush. Our sponsorship program provides for our fosters’ basic daily needs, like appropriate food, clean drinking water and dry fluffy straw.” —KCPRN
