This local business has been baking people happy for over 20 years. For Phyl, a magical moment creating with playdough, happily sculpting giraffes for her daughter, ignited a spark of inspiration. In 2008, in search of a change from corporate travel and a career supporting “big box” bakeries, she was hoping to enjoy more time at home with her young children and embrace her work. Flash forward, this unique bakery service offers personalized cakes and cupcakes, cookies and pastry, corporate gifting, care packages, baking and decorating classes and SnackKrack, their totally addictive candied mix.
Cupcakes are plenty and signature cakes are crafted into whatever shape and size the heart desires. Supporting the community, Phyl’s G.I.L.T.E Bakery Service created a scrumptious replica of Westfield’s grand 350th birthday cake to celebrate, honor the town’s history and thank the many generous contributors. Imagine the surprise and delight when the cake was turned to the crowd, revealing donors and their business logos, all printed and perfectly created with edible ink frosting.
Always delicious and delivered, each item is presented in a crisp white box with a turquoise bow, tied just right. The moment the box is opened, smiles widen, laughter spills forth and memories of happy times are reimagined and often shared. Phyl’s eyes twinkle when she reminds us, “for every happy time there is always a special treat, a cake or a cookie for celebrating”’ She joyously adds, “I am so lucky, I love to see people happy and content.”
