Creamy Pumpkin Sage Pasta

This pumpkin sage pasta is creamy and comforting, making it perfect for the fall season!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Cook Pasta:

    • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Prepare Sauce:

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 5 minutes.

    • Stir in the pumpkin puree and cook for 2 minutes.

    • Add heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

  3. Season:

    • Stir in Parmesan cheese, dried sage, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Serve immediately.
