The secret organic vegetable and herb garden behind the restaurant Veranda E is one of the reasons that guests will have a very special Culinary Adventure as part of a luncheon event presented by the Naples Woman’s Club. Veranda E, with its gorgeous patio surrounding the pool of the Hotel Escalante, is one of 13 Naples restaurants that will host A Culinary Adventure That Gives Back. This series of luncheons was developed as an alternative to the sell-out Kitchen Tour that the Club had held for the past eight years. The Kitchen Tour included trips to gorgeous homes in the Naples area, and featured chefs who presented a signature dish. However, the rise of COVID-19 has made such tours impossible in 2021, so the Club has devised an experience that brings guests to the chefs' kitchens instead!
The last in a series of three luncheons this season will be held on March 24 (reservations due by March 14) at 13 award-winning restaurants, including Veranda E, The French, Osteria Tulia, Trulucks, 21 Spices, Sails, Barbatella, Dorona, Grappino, Seasalt, Ridgway Bar & Grill, Lemonia (at the Ritz Carlton Tiburon) and Bayside. At each venue, small exclusive groups will enjoy a special Interaction with the chef and each restaurant will feature something different. The size of the table is chosen by guests, just like a dining reservation, and all lunches are held outdoors or in high airflow areas of the restaurants, with social spacing with your safety in mind.
In addition to the demonstrations by the chefs, guests will enjoy a 3-course meal, a glass of wine, and gifts and offers from local sponsors. Guests will find out which chef will entertain them when they get their personal invitation a week before the luncheon.
The Naples Woman’s Club is a volunteer service and philanthropy club with nearly 300 members, based in Old Naples, and the Club has served the Naples and Collier County community for over 85 years. Each year the Club raises funds for college and scholarships and grants for social service agencies (Meals of Hope, Meals on Wheels, St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, and the Judy Sullivan Resource Center); members also are active performing volunteer services.
Tickets are $125 with half of the proceeds supporting the restaurant; the remaining net proceeds will be awarded in grants from the Naples Woman’s Club. A special thanks to our main sponsors: Mercedes Benz of Naples, Naples Aesthetic & Wellness Institute, Gulf Coast International Properties, and Moran Wealth Management.
