Step inside the newly reimagined Binkley Nash Furniture & Design showroom, and you’ll feel it—this isn’t just a place to shop, it’s a place to feel at home. Thoughtfully layered textures, intentional vignettes and beautifully curated details invite you to linger, dream and discover. Every corner is designed with purpose, where style meets soul and inspiration lives in the details. That’s exactly what owner and lead designer, Ashlee Nash, envisioned when she took the reins of the Gallatin legacy business a decade ago—and it’s a vision that continues to evolve with heart, intention and a deep love for design.
Originally founded in 1968 as Binkley Furniture House, the brand has long been known for quality and craftsmanship. When Ashlee purchased the business at just 26 years old, she stepped into those shoes with humility, energy and a love for meaningful design. “I saw a chance to honor a long-standing legacy while infusing it with new energy,” she shares.
Today, Binkley Nash is more than a furniture store. It’s a full-service design studio offering curated pieces, personalized guidance and whole-home solutions tailored to each client’s lifestyle. From custom upholstery to hand-selected accessories, every detail is chosen with intention. The newly redesigned showroom reflects that shift. “It represents where we’re going—layered, elevated and personal. We’ve evolved into not just a furniture store but a full-service design studio. The new space mirrors that by showing more custom options, more design details and a bigger emphasis on whole-home solutions.”
Design trends have shifted dramatically over the decades, from matchy-matchy sets to layered, character-rich spaces that reflect personality and purpose. “What excites me most right now,” says Ashlee, “is the mix of textures, bold personalization and the focus on meaningful design—homes that feel lived-in, not just styled.”
At Binkley Nash, every space starts with a timeless foundation—classic silhouettes, neutral palettes and quality craftsmanship—then layered with trend-forward accents to keep it feeling fresh and current. “Whether it’s a statement lamp or an updated fabric, it’s all about balance between staying current and never feeling dated,” she explains.
Over the past ten years, Ashlee has navigated the ups and downs of business ownership, from economic shifts to the ever-changing design world. Through it all, she’s stayed rooted in intuition, community and a commitment to her clients. “I’m most proud of the relationships we’ve built—with clients, within the community and among our team. Watching a vision come to life and knowing we’ve helped people love their homes—it’s the best feeling.”
As Binkley Nash continues to grow, Ashlee is focused on the future—with fresh ideas, new energy and a deep respect for the legacy she’s carrying forward. With each space she touches, she’s not just designing homes—she’s helping shape the way people live in them.
