In honor of our June issue celebrating the men who inspire us, we are thrilled to feature a story from a true friend of the magazine. Many of you recognize Le Sauce & Co. from the gourmet recipes we’ve shared in past editions of Boerne Lifestyle. But behind those delicious flavors is a powerful story of family and mentorship. We invited Maya Kirl to share a heartfelt tribute to her father and the company's founder, Kyle Kirl, reflecting on his legacy just in time for Father’s Day.

Getting to wake up every morning and work alongside my family has been the greatest privilege of my life.
My father, Kyle Kirl, founded Le Sauce & Co. in 2019. He turned years of quiet contemplation and the steady encouragement of friends and family into a tangible reality. His vision was as clear as it was ambitious. He wanted to offer all-natural, gourmet gravies and sauces that empower everyone to craft a delicious, world-class meal with minimal time or effort. I joined the business shortly after graduating from college in 2021, and my brother-in-law joined the team the following year. In the seasons since, I have learned more from my father than I ever did in a classroom. While the education has been rigorous, it has been far more rewarding than I ever could have imagined—and a lot more fun too.
My dad launched this venture following a distinguished 30-year career in the consumer packaged goods industry. He is a true veteran of the trade who spent decades scaling iconic food brands for ConAgra. In the mid-2010s, he was instrumental in helping the Tillamook County Creamery Association take its famous cheeses to a nationwide audience. Today, he applies that same relentless tenacity to Le Sauce & Co. Under his stewardship, we have evolved from a small startup into a respected national brand. Currently, our products are featured in over 1,000 stores, and we are preparing for a major launch at Kroger later this year. Following our successful expansion into the Pullman market, we are now focused on bringing our all-natural gravies to H-E-B shelves as soon as we can.
My father isn’t just building a company for today; he is cultivating a multi-generational legacy designed to last. His goal is to reimagine the "dinner space" by creating an enduring brand that helps families connect over high-quality meals for decades to come. Our success is a direct result of his deep intuition for the grocery industry, yet our daily inspiration comes from his tireless, hardworking spirit. By inviting us into this journey, he has allowed us to build something truly special from the ground up. Who knew that my dad’s simple, lifelong love of cooking could take us this far?
Watching our family grow alongside this company has been the experience of a lifetime. As a leader, my dad does more than manage operations. He acts as a dedicated mentor who encourages me to refine my skills, pushes me to ask better questions, and trusts me to execute major projects with confidence. Because of his vision and steady leadership, we have remained resilient. We have successfully adapted to every market change and overcome the inevitable challenges of a growing business.
There is no one else I would rather work for than my father. I am who I am today because of how he raised me and because of the immense time he has invested in training me to be a capable, intelligent professional. My dad is my hero. As blessed as I am to be his colleague, I am even more blessed to be his daughter. I love you, Dad!
