Need an easy drinking wine for your fall festivities, from tailgating to weekend BBQs to sipping on the porch at twilight? We have just the suggestion: Dandi 2018 Syrah.
Available at Classic Wine Company in Homewood for $23.79 per bottle, this wine is a popular pick from the Dandi collection, created by the team at Liquid Farm in California. Famous for their chardonnays and pinot noirs, Liquid Farm created the Dandi collection to have a lower price point for unique varieties.
The 2018 Syrah is sourced from the Lieff Ranch vineyard in beautiful Santa Ynez, California, then barrel fermented inside of neutral and French oak. The result, according to Josh Terrell, owner of Classic Wine, is a variety imbued with elegance and a bit of refreshing acidity. You’ll taste blue and red fruits with the tell-tale Syrah white pepper, all blended for a lightweight and lively finish.
Terrell suggests chilling the 2018 Syrah in the fridge for about 30 minutes — or simply placing it at the top of your game day cooler. “The Dandi Syrah is perfect for tailgate season,” he says. “This wine goes great with burgers, hot dogs, chips and dip. It goes down so smoothly, you’ll be going through bottles left and right. Fortunately, we offer a case discount of 10% on 12 bottles!”
