A Holistic Approach to 2025

How one Vegas duo is redefining wellness with nature, mindfulness, and workplace harmony

I met Rachel Milford to chat about her passion for holistic wellness and how it’s transforming lives and workplaces. Originally from Sydney, Rachel moved to Las Vegas 16 years ago with her husband and fell in love with the desert’s calm beauty and the vibrancy of the Strip.

“Before the pandemic, I was running my own event business, working with clients worldwide,” Rachel shared. “Then everything came to a halt in 2020, forcing me to reflect on my life. After climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, I felt inspired to do more,” she said. “That’s when I teamed up with my friend Megan Wilson, a mindset coach, yoga instructor, and meditation facilitator. Over coffee one afternoon, Pneuma Lab (pneumalab.com) was born.” Pneuma means the vital spirit, soul, or creative force of a person.

Pneuma Lab combines Rachel’s event expertise with Megan’s mindfulness programs. “Our services cater to corporate teams, professionals, and event organizers who value holistic well-being,” Rachel explained. “By fine-tuning dimensions of wellness, people achieve greater focus, clarity, and stronger communication.” Rachel emphasized the importance of shifting priorities within the event industry. “We’re still so focused on strategic outcomes that we often overlook the well-being of attendees,” she said. “When we change that perspective, not only do we see improved bottom-line results, but the purpose and engagement of participants increase exponentially. Wellness isn’t just an add-on—it’s the foundation for meaningful connections and lasting impact.”

Their offerings include workplace wellness programs, wellness pep rallies, and interactive activities. Harmony Oasis is a multimedia art installation that helps participants find balance and calm in a busy office or conference. Rachel said, “We brought this to IMEX America last year as the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority’s wellness partner, and the feedback was incredible.”

Another standout is Activate Your Anthem, which is the cornerstone of their coaching and workshops. “The impact is transformative,” Rachel shared. “One senior sales executive told us, ‘I had three accounts that felt stuck, and I was skeptical. By the second week, two of my accounts were ready to renew their contracts.’” Megan has taken over 250 people through this program, helping individuals and teams achieve breakthroughs in both their personal and professional lives.

When asked how leaders can support employees’ well-being, Rachel shared actionable advice: “Start with a wellness audit to identify gaps across all the wellness dimensions—physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, environmental, and occupational. Then take meaningful steps to bridge the gaps, which can be as simple as creating green spaces in your office to an in-depth realignment of your company’s values and those of your employees.”

Rachel is also excited about their Las Vegas-inspired essential oil collection. “We created six blends: Neon, Star, Mirage, Mojave, Silver, and Pulse,” she said. “Scent is powerful and directly tied to memory and emotion. A well-chosen scent can energize a team, calm a workplace, or anchor positive memories from an event. When was the last time you associated an aroma other than coffee with your work? We’re changing that!”

As our conversation ended, Rachel reflected on holistic wellness. “At Pneuma Lab, we shift your mindset from fear to curiosity inspiring optimism for the future with our motto: What’s the Best That Can Happen?! You might be surprised how much life transforms when you align mind, body, and soul.”
