Once a month, we set aside a Saturday just for us—and one of our favorite traditions is visiting the local farmers market. It all started with a sweet tooth and a charming little macaron stand, Zava Macarons, run by owner Kati Marquez and assisted by her mother Penny DeLuca, the sweetest mother-daughter duo. They greet everyone with a smile, and their macarons are truly some of the best we’ve ever tasted—light, flavorful, and perfectly made every time. That small moment sparked something special for us, because we’re also a close mother-daughter pair who relate to their bond. Stopping by to see them has become a must.

The farmers market has become more than a place to buy goodies—it’s an experience we look forward to. We love seeing our favorite vendors each time we go. The fresh fruit stand is a must-visit, where we pick up juicy peaches or crisp apples, depending on the season. We also like to bring home a little cactus or a bundle of fresh flowers to brighten up our space—it’s our way of bringing a little beauty home with us.

Every visit brings something new to discover. From handmade candles and soaps to local art, fresh bread, and even treats for our puppies, there really is something for everyone. The market is pet-friendly, which means we get to see all kinds of adorable dogs strolling by, making it even more fun.

One of our favorite parts is just talking to people. The vendors are always full of stories, and there’s a true sense of community in the air. We make our way through the shops, trying samples from local vendors or grabbing a bite from one of the rotating food trucks.

If you’ve never been, we highly encourage you to check out a local farmers market—you never know what new favorites you might find. Keller’s Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 8 AM to noon, and it truly has something for everyone!
