Work, stay active, eat, sleep, and have some fun.  It should be easy, right? We asked the pros at Life Time Fitness what's important about investing in your wellness.

Exercise & Recovery

By CJ Keener, Personal Training Leader

Exercise is one of the essential elements to living a healthier and happier life.  Instead of using exercise as a punishment or chore, I like to tell my clients that we move to celebrate what our body can do.  Recovery is equally as important - some of my favorite methods include sauna, breathing exercises, and active recovery techniques like going on walks with my dog.  The investment you make toward moving and healing your body has endless physical, mental, and emotional benefits.

Nutrition Matters

By Vincent Squire, Nutrition Coach

Diets come and go, but a mindful nutrition program is a way of life. When it comes to what this entails, a person's wellness goals and aspirations must be taken into account. Moderation is the key to a healthy lifestyle, while overindulgence leads to weight issues and complications in one's physical condition.  Meal plans high in protein, the building block of muscle, coupled with complex carbohydrates, which are filling, high in fiber and digest slower and green vegetables, enriched with important vitamins and minerals, have been proven to lengthen life expectancy and decrease the risk of chronic diseases.

Healthy Work Tips

By Marshayla Kinsel

Establishing a productive work environment relies on intentional choices. Embrace ergonomics by designing a comfortable workspace, practicing good posture, and integrating regular breaks. Sustain energy levels and hydration with nutritious snacks. Cultivate robust relationships with coworkers to promote teamwork and cohesion. Set achievable objectives, prioritize effective time management, and approach tasks incrementally to mitigate stress.

Three key personal tips for maintaining a healthy work-life balance include setting clear boundaries, disconnecting from work outside of designated hours, and prioritizing personal well-being.
