Lauren Watson, owner of Under The Fig Tree Boutique, explains that she had a neighbor in Austin whose fig tree branches shaded her yard by the fence line. They became friends while visiting under the fig tree and sharing the luscious fruit.

Lauren began her sales career at the age of twelve in her home town of Dripping Springs. That continued when she worked part time in a boutique while she attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. After college graduation she worked in wholesale and retail in Dallas. Lauren took a break for seventeen years to work for Dell in Austin doing inside and outside sales. After the deaths of her dad, uncle, cousin and aunt all in four years, Lauren contemplated her career path. The mourning, long hours of the job and stressful atmosphere took its toll.
When she left Dell, Lauren moved to Boerne and started planning her next career. She has a strong belief in our Lord and knows that without Him, she would not be living her dream.
