New Year, Growing Team, A Fresh Chapter for Our Magazines

Get to know the passionate creatives driving our vision and shaping each story we tell.

January Alexander-Coffin

Publisher

As your new publisher, this role feels like a homecoming. As a Gallatin girl, I’m honored to take the torch from Nicole and carry forward the beautiful foundation she has built.

Since 2023, I have also proudly owned and published Lebanon City Lifestyle, where our passion and consistency created something truly special. That journey has now led to this new chapter—taking the helm of GCL.

While Lebanon has been our foundation, Gallatin is my roots— I am humbled to answer God’s calling to serve both of these communities. We’ve grown our team intentionally to ensure each city receives presence, connection, and storytelling – more boots on the ground, more community engagement, and more celebration of the people who make our region thrive.

As we expand, our commitment to lifting up the people, places, and stories of both Gallatin and Lebanon only grows stronger. This journey feels divinely aligned as we serve, steward, and celebrate two communities I love so dearly.

Lindsey Hickman

Editor

Following years in the restaurant industry, I first planted my Tennessee roots in Gallatin—opening a business and advertising it in Gallatin City Lifestyle, never imagining how deeply that connection would shape my future. God eventually led me to Lebanon, where I found myself back to my heart’s original calling, behind a pen and keyboard, telling the stories of the people who give a town its culture, heartbeat, and soul.

For the past three years, Lebanon has welcomed me with warmth, allowing me to write about small farms, passionate educators, risk takers, underdogs, and the people who feed us. It gave me purpose and a home.

Now, in the most joyful and unexpected full-circle moment, I’m returning to Gallatin—this time as your editor. As we assume Gallatin City Lifestyle alongside Lebanon City Lifestyle, I have the privilege of serving both towns that have had part in shaping me.

Print media is forever—tangible, lasting, unforgettable. And so is this homecoming.

Alana Cheeves

Publisher's Assistant

I love the charm and welcoming atmosphere of Lebanon— it's a big reason I decided to attend Cumberland University. The entrepreneurial spirit thrives here, allowing me to work with countless people who pour so much into making our communities flourish. Managing The Heart of Lebanon Collection subscription box, creating our newsletters and providing project support are just a few of the things I get to do, alongside daily operations.

I’m excited to connect with more people in Gallatin, a place I enjoy visiting, especially for time on the water. Guided by Romans 12:9, I try to stay hopeful, cling to what is good, and approach life with love first.

Renee Donnell

Editorial Coordinator

As part of the Gallatin Lifestyle team for the last two years, having the opportunity to hear from and get to know community members and business owners has been a blessing. Now, being a Lebanon native, I get to see it grow and also be part of the town I was born and raised in. My duties will include creating Business Monthly, City Scene, the local Events Calendar, along with community engagement, writing and more.

As we do these new things, I’m reminded of Isaiah 43:19—Jesus Christ makes all things new, he can redeem and restore. He is always working for our good and His glory.

Michelle DePass

Market Support Coordinator

I’m so grateful to be joining the Lebanon and Gallatin City Lifestyle team. My role will include attending events, assisting with marketing and communications, and supporting our efforts to connect with local businesses. But more than anything, I’m here because I genuinely love people, community, and the stories that shape both.

I’m a small-town girl at heart, and Lebanon feels like home. The way this city continues to grow while keeping its warmth and familiarity is something special. Gallatin feels like its sister—rooted, welcoming, full of personality. I’m deeply devoted to my Catholic faith, and it grounds me daily. I pray the rosary, seek peace in simple moments, and trust God with every new step.
